Michael Collins Four Page School Essay Aged 13, 1904

Michael Collins, School Essay,  Aged 13, 1904

"The Colonists as our rivals in Outdoor Sports"

The theme of the essay possibly set by the schoolmaster.

The essay was awarded 310 marks out of 600; the verdict: "Fair, but too short. Punctuate carefully, & look after your writing which is weak'".

The essay came from Michael's sister Kitty Sheridan. There is a note on rear of the final page signed by Kitty, "March 1904 when he was 13 and I was 15 - 16".

Each of the antique prints in our archive have been digitally enhanced and are as perfect as possible taking into consideration the age of the original. We have also added a subtle 'aged look' to each print which adds an extra aura of authenticity and creates a stunning atmosphere when framed.

We are delighted to be able to present these fascinating rarities of old Ireland for you to own.

We look forward to helping you create your own collection that can be treasured and admired by your family for many generations to come!
