The theme of the essay possibly set by the schoolmaster.
The essay was awarded 310 marks out of 600; the verdict: "Fair, but too short. Punctuate carefully, & look after your writing which is weak'".
The essay came from Michael's sister Kitty Sheridan. There is a note on rear of the final page signed by Kitty, "March 1904 when he was 13 and I was 15 - 16".
Each of the antique prints in our archive have been digitally enhanced and are as perfect as possible taking into consideration the age of the original. We have also added a subtle 'aged look' to each print which adds an extra aura of authenticity and creates a stunning atmosphere when framed.
