It may be the only piece of the Tivoli theatre left, but at least it's back where it belongs on Francis Street. I sold it back to the hotel who agreed to mount it in the public square in memory of what stood before. The only happy ending that could have been possible for this sign. The price I paid for it and profit was donated to Penny Dinners around the corner on Meath Street. The sign will be lit up every night for hopefully many decades to come in homage to the old Tivo. It was unveiled yesterday evening. Hopefully,, a mural featuring some of the great names that performed there from Maureen Potter to Dolores O'Riordan will soon follow on the walls surrounding the sign.
